A Few Garden Wreaths

Be sure and check out the other "Fertilizer Friday" gardens - they are all so fun to see!

Lot's of fun things here too!

We have had a lot of rain and so our color of green is nearly flourescent -------------- it is beautiful.
(Today alone we received over an inch of rain - not bad considering that we get about 18 inches per year and that is mostly by snow!)
The only flowers blooming right now are daffodils. I have pictures of them in my next post. I thought I would share my garden wreath creation. The tools on this wreath were my mom's garden tools. I have saved them since her death and it is nice to have them back in the garden again.

Here are a few more garden wreath ideas I found:

Recycled Water Bottle Wreath

This wreath has a sweet story. Each of the hanging tin pieces are wishes. You can read about it here: http://www.penick.net/digging/?p=455

I love this one - I have an old garden trowel that was my grandmother's - I would like to make one like this and put her trowel in a place of honor in my garden.

  4. Beautiful wreaths and what a wonderful way to preserve something of your Mom's. I've never thought to use a garden hose as the base, great idea :-)

  9. Hi, I love your pavers in your garden. I can imagine sitting out there with a glass of tea! In Louisiana I have to plant the sweet peas in the fall. And I don't think they will come up again with out replanting. They don't die in the winter here so bloom early, then the heat kills them which will be soon!

  11. These are great! I especially like th eidea that they can be ersonalized and have meaning specific to their makers to ponder.
I am so jealous of you girls who have your own little patch of dirt and are not living in rented houses like me, where I feel that anything other than maintenance is a waste of time because I may have to leave it all behind and the next person wouldn't care and let it all die. Plus I have limited powers via the real estate and owners of the property what I am allowed to do.
