We have flood warnings everywhere and the rain today isn't going to help that. In the mountains the snow pack is 197%, They have emptied the resevoirs down to 10-15% of capacity in anticipation of the melt of the snow.
Even with that said it is a lovely rainy day here in Idaho.
Here are a few pictures from our entry area.

As you look out our front door and window this is what you see - the entry garden is really coming up!
I will show the plants when they get a little fuller and it isn't raining! No plants in pots yet - it hasn't been warm enough.
This is the other side. The bleeding heart cane from a start from my grandmother who died in 1994. I am so happy everytime this darling plant comes up - she loved bleeding hearts. 
This is a lime bleeding heart - isn't it lovely! It is getting so big this year. Makes me smile everytime I see it!

Today I am thankful for rainy days - so peaceful and calming.
Plus I can get my house caught up!

It's good to be thankful for rain since rain is so good for our plants. Very nice photos.
I love it when plants are handed down like this. My mom was never a gardener, so I didn't receive any from her, but I have gotten a few from my mother-in-law. :)
I so envy you that you are getting rain and are home to enjoy it. I love a rainy day. My gardens would love it right now. I'm getting tired of lugging around the sprinkler. We are in a drought here. Love the columbine plants. Good memories.

I love that you have a special plant! i have a hardy fuscia that was given to me before a special friend died - & it's quite funny i have brought it from my old home to this one & planted it & moved it twice & is so happy! tried purchasing new ones to put around the garden here at Fishtail Cottage & they don't survive - so it does make me smile when it comes back to life in the garden, xoox tracie

Lovely - I adore bleeding hearts! They're just so interesting. It has been so warm here! I want more plants but it may be too late already! Thank you for sharing your garden - I have journaled what's blooming etc - blogging does help keep track of things.
